About The Position

The Assistant Grocery Manager supports the Grocery Manager in leading daily grocery operations to achieve sales, margin, inventory, and customer service goals. This role helps ensure efficient department execution, strong merchandising standards, and a trained, engaged team while maintaining safety and operational compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of inventory control and stocking practices
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of the Grocery Department, including ordering, replenishment, and merchandising
  • Assist with driving sales, gross margin, and shrink control
  • Ensure proper rotation, stocking, and presentation of grocery products
  • Help lead, train, schedule, and develop grocery associates
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, safety, and company policies
  • Execute promotional plans, end caps, and seasonal merchandising
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with audits and inventory accuracy
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with issue resolution
  • Support the Grocery Manager and store leadership in achieving store goals
