About The Position

The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent supervises the maintenance of the golf course, grounds, and equipment. This role involves assisting in managing, coordinating, and planning grounds maintenance work by preparing regular schedules for irrigation, mowing, fertilization, pesticide application, and other agronomic practices. The individual will also assist in reviewing and evaluating current procedures to make recommendations for increasing efficiency, productivity, and reducing operating costs. A key responsibility is identifying turfgrass disease, weed types, and insect types to determine appropriate chemical application strategies for resolution. The position also requires responsibility for weekly/monthly reports and chemical logs.

Requirements

  • High School education (Required)
  • 3 Years of relevant experience (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks such as mowing, fertilization, and other maintenance related tasks to ensure the maintenance goals of the course are satisfied.
  • Evaluate turf and landscaping conditions and determine appropriate methods of resolving issues.
  • Assist in reviewing and evaluating current procedures and make recommendations to increase efficiency, productivity, and reduce operating costs.
