About The Position

Sage + Sound is seeking an Assistant General Manager (GM) to partner with the GM and Operations team to manage and develop the frontline floor team, ensuring smooth daily operations from open to close. This role will oversee opening and closing procedures, shift coverage, and day-to-day task execution, as well as manage team scheduling, timecard accuracy, and compliance with labor laws. The Assistant GM will also support the GM in partnering with the marketing team to hit objectives, KPIs, and elevate the overall guest experience. This includes creating monthly sales challenges, developing realistic individual sales goals, and monitoring progress. The Assistant GM will be responsible for keeping the floor and back-of-house organized, well-stocked, and presentation-ready, monitoring inventory levels, managing supply orders, and ensuring proper storage and usage. They will also ensure the store is clean, organized, and consistently meets company standards for presentation and safety. A key aspect of this role is championing a high standard of guest service and building client loyalty, ensuring every client interaction reflects Sage + Sound's commitment to exceptional service and addressing customer feedback thoughtfully. The Assistant GM will uphold company standards across the board, from SOPs and safety regulations to day-to-day norms, and model a culture of accountability and consistency on the floor.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role in wellness, hospitality, or retail
  • Comfortable with scheduling, timecard management, and developing frontline team members
  • Able to set, track, and motivate a team around individual and collective sales goals
  • Genuinely passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and building loyalty
  • Detail-oriented with experience managing inventory, store standards, and compliance
  • A team player who works well alongside a GM and cross-functional partners like marketing and ops
