About The Position

This position is responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and coaching instruction for the Hanover High School Girls' Volleyball team. Responsibilities may include supervising teams at varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels. The role involves assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of team management, player development, and adherence to school and league regulations.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and advanced strategies of applicable sport (Volleyball).
• Knowledge of VHSL rules.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop players in a positive way.
• Desire to teach and improve skill development.
• Must pass criminal record check.
• Previous experience as a player and/or coaching at any level.
• A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning practices.
• Run practices.
• Coach during practices and games.
• Communicate expectations to parents and players.
• Ensure there are always two coaches at the field.
• Attend all practices and games.
• Arrange for practices/game coverage if unable to attend.
• Start and end practices on time.
• Ensure you and other designated coach are always the last to leave the field.
• Adhere to school board requirements and recommendations.
• Attend all coaches' meetings.
• Assist with player selection.
• Supervision of team during all activities.
