About The Position

Divine Child High School is seeking an Assistant Girls Cross Country Coach. This role involves assisting the Head Varsity Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting daily practices, as well as managing uniform and equipment distribution. The assistant coach will help develop practice and game strategies aligned with the Head Varsity Coach's plan, maintain communication with athletes and parents, and keep the Athletic Director and Head Varsity Coach informed of any issues or changes. Support for the Head Varsity Coach as needed is also a key part of the position.

Requirements

• Coaching experience preferred.
• Applicant must have basic understanding of technical aspect of running.
• Applicants must have playing experience at the high school varsity, club, and/or college level.
• Willingness to meet all League and state coaching requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and parents.
• Must take Protecting God's Children workshop, background check, and digital fingerprints.
• After School availability (3:00 pm or after) for practices and events.
• Saturday availability during season.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the Catholic High School League and knowledge of the MHSAA organizations preferred.

Responsibilities
