About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager (GM) in overseeing daily hotel operations. The AGM helps lead front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations, exceptional service, and strong financial results. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong operations knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. The AGM is a visible leader who builds culture, solves problems, and drives performance in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel leadership experience highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations and service standards
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem solving skills
  • Professional, dependable, and able to lead by example
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for hospitality and building strong teams
  • Flexible to work any shifts, including holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager with daily hotel operations and leadership tasks
  • Oversee department leaders and help ensure smooth interdepartmental communication
  • Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by resolving issues and supporting service recovery
  • Monitor hotel cleanliness, safety, and brand compliance
  • Assist with financial performance, budgeting, and cost controls
  • Lead by example to maintain a positive, professional environment
  • Support implementation of hotel initiatives, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure staffing levels support service needs across the hotel
  • Act as Manager on Duty when needed
