About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations and uphold the high service standards of our IHG Select Brand property. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives on creating exceptional guest experiences, supporting team development, and partnering closely with the Area General Manager to drive overall hotel success.

Requirements

2–4 years of hotel operations experience
Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and supporting teams
Guest-focused mindset with the ability to resolve challenges quickly and effectively
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

IHG Select Brand experience preferred
Familiarity with IHG systems ( Hotel Key, Merlin etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

Support the Area General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, ensuring alignment with IHG brand standards
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and employee engagement in line with the Mid-Continent Hospitality Mission Statement.
Lead, coach, and develop associates across front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage
Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service, resolving issues with professionalism and care
Monitor operational performance, guest feedback, and service scores to identify opportunities for improvement
Support financial performance through labor management, cost controls, and operational efficiency
Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel, modeling hospitality and service excellence
Uphold safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards across all departments
