About The Position

Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager plays a key leadership role in all aspects of restaurant operations. Working closely with both Front of House and Back of House teams, you will help build and develop high-performing teams, uphold our standards and operating procedures, and drive operational excellence. Through professional, enthusiastic leadership and a commitment to hospitality, you will contribute to what sets Aera apart—creating a warm, welcoming, and truly memorable experience for every guest.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of leadership experience in a high-volume, upscale hospitality environment.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • An inspiring and seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • A proactive problem-solver who is always looking for more effective and efficient ways of working.
  • Results-driven, with the ability to set goals, drive performance, and motivate your team to continuously raise the bar.
  • A collaborative leader who understands that great teams achieve more together.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically communicate the restaurant's vision to all team members and lead by example.
  • Embody the O&B values daily and inspire the team with an exciting vision for the future.
  • Regularly monitor and achieve the O&B points of technical service and points of detail.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members, and senior management.
  • Create, foster, and maintain a rave-worthy bar program.
  • Promote the restaurant with high personal integrity and business ethics.
  • Conduct recruitment, selection, training, and development initiatives, as well as performance management and employee coaching.
  • Apply and use conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and inspire others to do the same.
  • Assist with tracking sales, invoicing, and managing inventory.
  • Conduct and coach the management team to host well-informed briefings with service staff prior to each function or service.
  • Have a strong grasp of service needs and schedule accordingly.
