About The Position

Nouria Energy Corporation is a multi-generational family-owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator, and car wash operator in New England. The company's wholesale and retail fuel businesses are multi-branded, including Shell, Mobil, Irving, Sunoco, Gulf, Valero, Citgo, Phillips 66, Exxon, and multiple unbranded brands. Their wholesale operations supply branded and unbranded fuel to over 300 locations across New England and New York. Nouria is ranked within the top 50 largest convenience store chains in the country, operating over 150 company-operated locations throughout New England, and is also ranked within the top 10 largest car wash chains in the country. The Assistant Store Manager (referred to as Assistant General Manager in the title) is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store. This role involves mentoring team members to provide fast and friendly service and ensuring every customer receives a great shopping experience.

Requirements

  • Must have minimum of one year retail experience
  • Must have general computer knowledge
  • Must be able to read, write and operate electronic equipment and sales transactions
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions
  • Must be able to stand at all times
  • Must be able to kneel, lift and bend up to 25 (twenty-five) pounds
  • Required to work any shift within operational hours of the store and weekends
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
  • Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the store
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Prolonged periods of standing and working at a cash register

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store
  • Mentor team members to provide fast and friendly service
  • Ensure every customer receives a great shopping experience
  • Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude
  • Stock and re-stock inventory merchandise throughout the facility
  • Check in vendor deliveries
  • Complete required paperwork including shift report, gas reconciliation, cigarette counts, etc.
  • Assist in training
  • Assist Store Manager as needed
  • Ensure physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities
  • Perform other related duties as required
