About The Position

As the Assistant General Manager, you are the energetic core of the studio. You bridge the gap between high-level strategy and daily execution, ensuring that our team thrives, our community grows, and our members experience the absolute best of our brand every single day. This role involves client relations, maintaining the RTR Vibe, driving grassroots initiatives and events, teaching reformer classes, and overseeing the new client journey.

Requirements

  • Fitness teaching experience preferred; client relations experience a plus.
  • Genuine passion for fitness and a solid understanding of industry trends.
  • Desire to learn fitness software, analytics, and financial acumen in preparation for a GM role.
  • Ability to work on-site at managed locations within the DMV (District, Maryland, Virginia) area.
  • Schedule flexibility to meet the needs of the community, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends for class instruction, events, and studio coverage.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to optimize the sales funnel and identify growth opportunities.
  • Execute localized initiatives to meet monthly revenue targets.
  • Take ownership of daily studio readiness, including inventory and reformer maintenance.
  • Provide consistent leadership four days a week across all dayparts.
  • Manage daily communications (Axle, texts, info box) and provide prompt, professional responses.
  • Track churn data and execute member-save strategies.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-energy environment.
  • Spearhead lead-generating events and host quarterly member-appreciation events.
  • Forge local partnerships, driving at least four strategic touchpoints per week.
  • Capture studio event content for social media to drive leads and brand awareness.
  • Drive presale blitzes and staff pop-ups for new pod locations.
  • Teach 8-12 high-energy, brand-consistent reformer classes, open houses, and workshops per week.
  • Partner with the GM to mentor and elevate the coaching team, providing regular evaluations and feedback.
  • Oversee the new member lifecycle from lead to full membership.
  • Organize and lead dynamic Intro Workshops to transition new clients.
  • Drive the on-the-ground rollout of seasonal sales strategies.
  • Maintain weekly scorecard metrics, including partnership touchpoints, event execution, and spreadsheet upkeep.
