About The Position

The Assistant General Manager supports the day-to-day operations of their studio and is a driving force behind studio growth, an exceptional client experience, and community connection. The AGM owns grassroots marketing and community outreach for their studio, leads membership relations through the RTR Hospitality Way, and upholds the RTR brand standard. The AGM also teaches up to 8-12 in-person Pilates classes per week (additional classes may be required based on the needs of the schedule).

Requirements

  • Fitness teaching experience preferred; client relations experience a plus.
  • Genuine passion for fitness and a solid understanding of industry trends.
  • Desire to learn fitness software, analytics, and financial acumen in preparation for a GM role.
  • Ability to work on-site at managed locations within the DMV (District, Maryland, Virginia) area.
  • Schedule flexibility to meet the needs of the community, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends for class instruction, events, and studio coverage.
  • Successfully completing a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-studio presence and daily coverage, cycling with the General Manager's schedule to ensure manager availability.
  • Cover a mix of shifts including early morning, mid-day, evening, and weekend.
  • Manage daily CRM (Axle) operations, responding to all messages, texts, and calls professionally and promptly.
  • Own and manage specific CRM buckets daily.
  • Participate in and lead grassroots marketing and community outreach efforts.
  • Execute a minimum of two lead-generating external events and one in-studio member event per quarter.
  • Conduct four partnership touchpoint outreaches per week.
  • Maintain partnership contact and grassroots marketing spreadsheets.
  • Capture and source dynamic content during studio events for the social media team.
  • Assist the General Manager with the sales funnel to identify conversion gaps and execute initiatives to meet revenue targets.
  • Oversee studio readiness, including retail and supply inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  • Teach high-energy, brand-consistent in-studio reformer classes, open houses, or workshops.
  • Partner with the GM on instructor evaluations and feedback to ensure consistent delivery of the RTR Instruction Standard.
  • Serve as the primary lead for studio communication hubs (email and CRM), delivering the RTR Hospitality Way.
  • Support the GM in monitoring churn data and executing member-save strategies.
  • Champion RTR's mission and core values, fostering an inclusive, high-energy environment.
  • Support presales for new locations by executing marketing blitzes, partnerships, and events.
  • Work presale leads in Axle and assist with staffing pop-ups and launch events.
  • Help establish the RTR Hospitality Way and brand standard in new studios.
