About The Position

La Quinta Inn & Suites in Tifton, Georgia is seeking an energetic, hands-on, and guest-focused Assistant General Manager to support the daily operations of the hotel. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest service, maximize revenue, maintain brand standards, and lead team members across all departments. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who is ready to take the next step in their management career and develop into a future General Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel industry or management experience preferred.
  • Front desk experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
  • Lead and motivate team members to provide outstanding guest service.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by resolving concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of hotel staff.
  • Supervise front desk operations and ensure compliance with company and brand standards.
  • Monitor hotel cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance.
  • Conduct property inspections and follow up on corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and payroll review to maintain labor budgets.
  • Review daily reports, occupancy, revenue, and operational metrics.
  • Support sales efforts by building relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Assist with inventory management and purchasing of hotel supplies.
  • Participate in revenue management initiatives to maximize profitability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
