About The Position

At KidStrong, we help kids win at life through dynamic physical, mental, and character-building programs. As our Assistant General Manager, you'll be the second-in-command to the General Manager—driving center growth, inspiring our coaching staff, and delivering an exceptional experience for our kids and families! This role involves leading member acquisition, finalizing sales, selling and scheduling revenue-boosting events, serving as Manager on Duty, onboarding and training coaches, fostering a feedback-rich coaching culture, managing the Lead Coach/Sales Manager, tracking center KPIs, delivering top-tier customer service, and overseeing daily center maintenance. Additionally, you will be hands-on with coaching the KidStrong curriculum for children aged 15 months to 11 years, using the KS Coaches App to track progress.

Requirements

• Prior coaching/sports experience working with kids (ages 15 mos – 11 yrs) is a must.
• Comfortable making high-volume outbound phone calls, closing sales, and hitting performance goals.
• Lead by example, bring high energy, and embrace a growth, low-ego mindset ("Best Idea Wins!").
• Comfortable working in an active environment (moving through classes, setting up equipment up to 25 lbs, and physically engaging with kids).
• Proficient with Google Workspace/Microsoft platforms and comfortable learning systems like LearnUpon, ADP, CareerPlug, or CRM software.
• CPR certified (or willing to obtain) and ready to complete KidStrong HQ Coach Certification.

• Pediatric OT/PT experience is a major plus!

Responsibilities

• Lead member acquisition by conducting outbound call drives (75–100 calls/day) to new and interested leads.
• Finalize trial sales and memberships both over the phone and in-center.
• Sell and schedule revenue-boosting events, including Spring/Summer camps, birthday parties, and community pop-ups.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when the General Manager is off.
• Partner with the GM to onboard, train, evaluate, and mentor coaches using the KidStrong Coach DNA framework.
• Foster a feedback-rich coaching culture ("see something, say something") and model high standards across Slack, email, and center operations.
• Manage the Lead Coach/Sales Manager.
• Track center KPIs, sales numbers, and member retention to make smart operational decisions.
• Deliver top-tier customer service, resolving family inquiries and maintaining strong community relationships.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly center maintenance, equipment safety, and brand standards.
• Deliver the KidStrong curriculum focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development for kids ages 15 months to 11 years.
• Use the KS Coaches App to track attendance, awards, and student progress.
