The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a crucial role in ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and upholds MCR's standards of cleanliness and friendliness. This position involves daily supervision of hotel operations, including guest rooms and public spaces, to guarantee a positive guest experience. The AGM is responsible for training new team members, managing shifts, overseeing check-in/check-out processes, and fostering a positive culture for both guests and staff. Key duties include conducting room inspections, managing inventory, supporting onboarding, monitoring time clock punches, performing audits, handling reporting, managing purchase orders and invoices, ensuring quality assurance and safety standards are met, escalating issues, confirming preventative maintenance, and ensuring adherence to work schedules. The AGM is also expected to cover open department head positions when necessary.
