Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a restaurant assistant manager or similar role
  • Experience with inventory and helping to control spending
  • Displays stress management skills
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and people skills
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
  • Great attitude and customer-oriented personality
  • Possesses POS and MS Office computer skills
  • Likes to have fun at work
  • Has passion and pride in what you do

Responsibilities

  • Work with the General Manager to oversee daily business operations
  • Deliver superior food and service, and maximize customer service
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Assist in developing employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations
  • Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods and products
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Manage the restaurant’s great image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
  • Responsible for ensuring a consistent high quality of food preparation and service
  • Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies
