About The Position

The Assistant General Manager at SONIC Drive-In with KBP Drive-In partners with the Managing Partner to lead the team, strengthen restaurant performance, and deliver the fast, friendly guest experience expected at SONIC. The role helps oversee daily operations and supports training, scheduling, team performance, inventory management, food safety, guest concerns, and financial performance. It also contributes to restaurant growth initiatives and protecting the SONIC brand, with opportunities to develop toward Managing Partner and above-store roles.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Assistant General Manager experience in food service or retail with profit and loss responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close the restaurant at least 2 nights per week.
• Ability to work in an active restaurant environment, including standing, walking, lifting, moving through compact spaces, and safely using restaurant equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Quick-service restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee daily operations while upholding SONIC standards and policies.
• Support the Managing Partner by leading training, scheduling, and team performance.
• Manage inventory, food safety compliance, and guest concerns.
• Support financial performance through cash handling and expense control.
• Partner with the Managing Partner on growth initiatives and protecting the SONIC brand.
