About The Position

Restaurant R’evolution, a premier fine dining establishment in the heart of New Orleans, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team. The AGM will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and upholding the highest standards of service, quality, and hospitality. This position requires a passion for fine dining, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine, and culinary trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software (e.g., OpenTable or similar reservation software, Micros, or similar POS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Occasional mornings
  • Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Ensure every guest receives impeccable service, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to maintain high service standards.
  • Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing profitability. Monitor inventory, labor costs, and revenue streams to meet financial goals.
  • Uphold the restaurant’s standards for food quality, presentation, and service, ensuring consistency across all aspects of the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the events team and Maitre d’ to plan and execute private dining events, wine dinners, and other special occasions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as local and state laws.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
  • Address and resolve any operational or guest-related issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the guest experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
