Requirements

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, time management, and listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to present professionally and persuasively to individuals and team members.
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of the hotel and services offered.
  • Skills in teaching, mentoring, and training new team members.
  • Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Strong analytical skills for measuring business potential and value.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers and hotel management.
  • Comfortable with high visibility and leadership roles within the hotel and community.
  • Comprehensive firsthand hospitality experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hotel operations experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and instruct.
  • Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to speak with poise, voice control, confidence, and correct English usage.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Address all hotel issues and problems to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Act as the acting manager when the General Manager is unavailable or in meetings with clients or the CEO.
  • Assist at the Front Desk during peak times or when understaffed.
  • Lead, train, and mentor staff, including hiring, coaching, evaluating, and managing disciplinary actions and terminations per General Manager’s guidance.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals for the hotel.
  • Partner with senior leadership at properties under your oversight to ensure exceptional guest experiences and profitability.
  • Attend and participate in property revenue meetings to maximize revenue and profit.
  • Respond professionally and helpfully to all team member and guest issues.
  • Answer phones and resolve guest requests or complaints as needed.
  • Ensure all hotel standards and guidelines are upheld.
  • Monitor all departments and report any concerns or issues to the General Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel credit procedures and audit guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive rapport with local civic groups and companies.
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports to the General Manager and Owner.
