About The Position

The Assistant General Manager assists in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management. Supervise inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing escalated issues promptly and maintaining high standards of communication skills. Implement marketing initiatives to promote store sales and community engagement. Maintain organized records of sales data, inventory control reports, and employee performance evaluations. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership development, and adherence to company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory retail role with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and POS systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, purchasing, cash handling, and retail math.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and store management software.
  • Ability to handle customer service issues professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire team members to excel in sales management and store operations.
