About The Position

Responsible for directing and coordinating all store operations in the absence of the General Manager to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable store performance. When the General Manager is present, serves in a supportive leadership role by providing operational assistance, filling open positions as needed, and helping ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Immediately greets all customers and ensures extraordinary customer service.
  • Manage Department Managers and staff, overseeing work schedules and specific duties when department manager is unavailable.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity, profitability and goal achievement to determine areas needing cost reduction and improvement.
  • Determine staffing requirements and follow HR interview and hiring process and train new employees.
  • Monitor departments to ensure they effectively provide customer services while staying within budgetary limits.
  • Oversee activities directly related to making products and providing services.
  • Oversee and proactively plan the movement of products in and out of the store.
  • Oversee invoice management to assure invoices are turned in to accounting in a timely manner.
  • Oversee orderly and complete month inventory and reporting deadline.
  • Effectively resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales and case displays.
  • Advise managers on adjusting pricing, in-store sales and managing shrink.
  • Coordinate with Buyers regarding performance of department manages, and product and display requirements.
  • Train store employees regarding customer service, safety/health rules, and product knowledge.
  • Enforce all company policies, safety, health and sanitation rules.
  • Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Uphold the values and principles of the company.
  • Support goals and vision of CEO and Owners
  • Consistently presents a professional personal image and abide by the company’s uniform policy.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
  • Comply with all regulatory rules and regulations including HACCP, OSHA, Dept. of Labor, Weights and Measures and local food and sanitation laws.
