About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations. The role mentors team members to provide fast, friendly service and ensure customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities also include maintaining store facilities, safety, cleanliness, and appearance, and performing other related duties as required. The position may require working any shift during the store’s operating hours, including weekends.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience.
• General computer knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and sales transactions.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Courteous and friendly attitude.
• Ability to work any shift during store operating hours, including weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, kneel, lift, and bend; lift up to 25 pounds, and at times up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to access and move through all areas of the store.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and computer, and to stand for prolonged periods while working at a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations and other needs.
• Mentor and assist in training team members to provide fast, friendly service.
• Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
• Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliations, and cigarette counts.
• Help maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
