About The Position

Drury Hotels is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager - Unassigned to support our vision, core values, and goals by taking exceptional care of our team members who take exceptional care of our guests. This role involves providing expert leadership across all departments of multiple hotel properties within an assigned region. The ideal candidate will be a diverse leader comfortable seeking new experiences, exploring the unknown, and driven by meeting new people, forming new partnerships, and creating new experiences. You will be responsible for assisting and supporting hotel properties and staff, taking the lead on providing exceptional service to guests, and training, developing, and coaching team members to achieve success. This position offers the opportunity to cultivate an environment of exceptional guest service at multiple properties by establishing high service standards, hiring the right team members, and role-modeling quality assurance best practices. You will deliver on key business measures of service, cost, and labor controls, and team engagement through hands-on leadership and empowering team members. Critical thinking skills are essential for handling challenging situations and proactively resolving issues.

Requirements

  • A positive, can-do attitude required.
  • Minimum of one-year of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business or related field preferred.
  • Hotel specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support hotel properties and staff in an assigned region.
  • Provide expert leadership across all departments of the hotel.

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members in all areas of the hotel while showcasing experience throughout the portfolio of hotels within the company.
  • Role model quality assurance best practices each day with the team and consistently meet or exceed all quality assurance visit measurables.
  • Deliver on key business measures of service, cost, and labor controls and team engagement through hands-on leadership, delegating and empowering team members.
  • Use good critical thinking skills to successfully handle challenging situations, proactively resolve issues, and show dedication to continuous improvement.
