About The Position

ShipMonk is seeking an Assistant General Manager for its Fulfillment Center Operations in Pittston, Pennsylvania. This on-site role involves managing daily operations, P&L, KPIs, and a team of over 40 people. The AGM is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, and sanitation standards. This is a high-accountability position with significant visibility into business performance, requiring the ability to build supervisory leadership and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

6 to 8 years in fulfillment, distribution, or supply chain operations.
Experience leading teams of 40 or more people.
Experience managing a facility budget and hitting operational KPIs.
Comfort with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and enterprise tools like Excel and project management software.
Proficiency in process documentation.
A track record of building supervisory layers, not just managing individual contributors.
Strong communication skills, capable of presenting to executives and working on the warehouse floor.

Nice To Haves

Lean Six Sigma certification.
A degree is helpful, but equivalent operational experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations including inbound, outbound, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, and sanitation standards.
Own and manage the P&L and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor cost, throughput, and error rates.
Hire supervisors, develop frontline leads, and build a strong team capable of problem-solving independently.
Conduct performance conversations directly and consistently.
Coordinate with customer service, sales, and other facility leaders to ensure seamless warehouse activity.
Set expectations for the team and hold them accountable for meeting standards.
