About The Position

Mister Car Wash is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Training (AGMIT) for an accelerated development program designed to prepare individuals for the Assistant General Manager position. This role is ideal for those passionate about leadership development, thriving in fast-paced customer service environments, and seeking growth with a nationwide expanding company. The AGMIT will work closely with a Certified Trainer to learn daily operations, performance data analysis, team development, staffing, recruitment, employee relations, and basic mechanical skills for facility maintenance and quality assurance. This program serves as a launchpad to becoming an Assistant General Manager and ultimately a General Manager leading a location.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience—at least 1 year leading a team, supervising shifts, or managing people in a customer facing environment.
  • Understand high-volume retail or service operations, including how to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences.
  • Take initiative and lead by example, modeling our values while driving performance, motivation, and accountability on your team.
  • Excel at coaching and developing others, giving clear feedback, building confidence, and helping team members grow into new responsibilities.
  • Stay organized and focused, even in fast-moving environments with competing priorities and constant activity.
  • Enjoy working with people, bring positivity to every interaction, and feel energized working outdoors in a fast-paced setting through all weather conditions.
  • Adapt quickly, stay curious, and are excited to grow into a leadership role in a rapidly expanding, people first company.
  • Comfortable with a commute of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-hire background and Motor Vehicle Records (if applicable) check.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the fundamentals of daily operations, from opening and closing routines to quality, safety, and maintaining a smooth site flow.
  • Understand performance data and make decisions that drive results.
  • Strengthen team development, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Support staffing, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Learn basic functional and mechanical skills that will help you maintain your facility and meet customer’s quality expectations.
