About The Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with accuracy and maintain a high level of productivity. This role involves exhibiting and developing maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting high morale within the department and store, and maintaining good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales. The Assistant Front End Manager must comply with all company policies, programs, and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct, providing professional examples for other store team members. Key responsibilities include being aware of Ad items, special prices, coupon deals, or other features that apply to the store’s sales program, communicating this information to the front-end, and immediately notifying proper personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in file. The position requires continually observing the front-end for proper coverage during high volume times and ensuring additional help as needed. The individual must be able to operate the cash register efficiently, bag guest’s purchases, and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner. This role also assists in ensuring the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies such as bags, register tapes, office forms, and cleaning supplies within established budgets and guidelines. It involves ensuring timely pick-up, control, accuracy, and security of the cash register and safe, and being knowledgeable and capable of implementing all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies. The Assistant Front End Manager follows company policy in opening and closing the store. In Nevada, they must be aware of and adhere to the Nevada County/State laws and store policies regarding the front ‘slot’ areas, ensuring guests receive prompt and accurate change and maintaining proper control of these funds. Individuals must be 21 or older to assist in slot areas.

Requirements

  • Must have previous front end experience.
  • MINIMUM AGE: 21 years of age.
  • 21 years of age required to sell tobacco products and/or alcohol and supervise the sales for all under 21.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
