About The Position

This role requires an individual to perform essential duties with accuracy and maintain a high level of productivity. The position involves fostering excellent customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting high morale within the department and store through honest and open communication, and maintaining good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales. The individual must comply with all company policies and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct, and serve as a professional example for other store team members. Responsibilities include staying informed about sales programs, ad items, special prices, and coupon deals, and communicating this information to the front-end team. The role also involves immediately notifying appropriate personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in the system, observing front-end coverage during high-volume times, and ensuring adequate staffing. The Assistant Front End Manager must be able to operate the cash register efficiently, bag guest purchases, and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies within budget, as well as ensuring the timely pick-up, control, accuracy, and security of the cash register and safe. The individual must be knowledgeable and capable of implementing all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures. They will follow company policy in opening and closing the store and must be aware of and adhere to Nevada County/State laws and store policies regarding the front 'slot' areas, ensuring guests receive prompt and accurate change and maintaining proper control of these funds. A minimum age of 21 is required to assist in slot areas.

Requirements

  • Previous front end experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
  • Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
  • Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
  • Is aware of Ad items, special prices, coupon deals or other features that apply to the store’s sales program.
  • Always communicates the information to the front-end.
  • Immediately notifies proper personnel of any pricing errors or items not found in file.
  • Continually observes the front-end for proper coverage during high volume times and ensures additional help as needed.
  • Helps whenever needed and has the ability to operate the cash register efficiently, bag our guest’s purchases and perform all related checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Assists in ensuring the availability, control, and proper use of front-end supplies as: bags, register tapes, office forms, cleaning supplies, etc. within established budgets and guidelines.
  • Ensures timely pick-up, control, accuracy, and security of the cash register and safe.
  • Is knowledgeable and capable of implementing all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures as outlined by company policies.
  • Follows company policy in opening and closing the store.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Nevada County/State laws and store policies regarding the front ‘slot’ areas.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt and accurate change and maintain proper control of these funds.
