About The Position

Assists with accounting and administrative support functions for the assigned project (job) site(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field required
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to lead a team environment with emphasis in customer service, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Nice To Haves

  • Accounts Payable certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint and/or CMiC ERP systems preferred
  • Construction industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process and enter vendor/subcontractor invoices
  • Enter timesheets
  • Provide administrative support
  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices
  • Take delivery of goods and/or materials and ensure accurate reporting in accounting system
  • Assist with onboarding employee‑owners and maintaining accurate HR forms/records
  • Ensure jobsite timesheets are entered accurately and timely
  • Coordinate weekly payroll function
  • Review and enter pay requests from subcontractors in the accounting system
  • Keep track of Lien Waivers, Supplier’s Release, Notice of Intent to Lien, Mechanic’s Lien, and Release of Lien
  • Assist with periodic internal and external audits
  • Assist with various reporting requirements
  • Assist with record keeping, filing, and other administrative or clerical duties
  • Ensure effective team coverage by cross‑training on various roles/responsibilities
  • Maintain ongoing contact with various jobsites, regional offices, and departments to ensure organizational strategic goals are achieved
  • Perform various ad hoc requests
  • Meet accounts payable financial standards by providing annual accounts payable budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, as related to accounts payable functions, in accordance to overall company financial policy
  • Train AP functions throughout the company
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors by supplying information and technical assistance as necessary
  • Perform a wide variety of special projects, as needed
