About The Position

Taylor Shellfish Farms is America s largest shellfish farming company, family-owned and operated since 1890. We grow four species of oysters, clams, mussels and geoducks, specializing in premium quality live half-shell oysters. In addition to our wholesale distribution, we own three bustling oyster bars in Seattle to exemplify our Tide to Table philosophy and set the gold standard for oyster shucking presentation. POSITION DESCRIPTION Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bars are looking to add to their leadership team. We are hiring an Assistant Floating Manager for our Seattle locations. QualificationsCandidates should have FOH and/or BOH leadership experience (2+ years). Strong candidates will exhibit strength in the following areas: Positive attitude Strong communication skills & commitment to teamwork Inventory & COG calculation Tone-setting effort & stress management Scheduling & Labor management This position is seasonally full-time, salaried position. Compensation is competitive. We value hard work, efficiency, and a work-life balance. Experience with oyster shucking is not required, we want to train you on our program with proprietary literature and hands-on experience at our farms/facilities. Physical Demands, Skills and abilities (Farms) Ability to stand and/or walk on uneven ground The employee may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers. Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
