About The Position

Kendal at Hanover is seeking a part-time Assistant Float Teacher to work up to 24 hours per week. This role involves assisting in the daily operation and coordination of the Child Care Center, providing children with a learning environment and experiences to help their development socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. The position requires interacting with children warmly and affectionately, providing primary care including observations and record-keeping, and completing daily tasks related to health, safety, cleanliness, and documentation.

Requirements

Experience in childcare or a related field.
Ability to interact with children in a warm, friendly, and affectionate manner.
Skills in observation, record-keeping, and documentation.
Understanding of health, safety, and cleanliness standards in a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the daily operation and coordination of Kendal at Hanover Child Care Center.
Providing children with a learning environment and experiences to help develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally.
Interacting with children in a warm, friendly, and affectionate manner.
Providing Primary Care for assigned children, including observations, records, portfolios, and individual education plans.
Completing daily tasks including health, safety, cleanliness, and documentation as assigned.
