Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) is seeking a full-time Assistant Fitness Instructor – Research Assistant I for the Liu lab, which focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals with advanced kidney disease. The primary responsibility of this role is to implement a virtually delivered group exercise program for Spanish or English-speaking individuals awaiting kidney transplants. The lab conducts up to ten virtual exercise classes weekly, and the candidate will ensure the safety of attendees during these sessions. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Additional duties include following up with participants post-medical events to assess their readiness to return to the study, data entry, scheduling study visits, managing participant information systems, assisting with regulatory and Institutional Review Board (IRB) document preparation and submission, participating in study monitoring visits and regulatory audits, and maintaining study supplies and equipment.
