About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant F&B Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Assistant F&B Manager, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring the highest level of service, quality, and member satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of food and beverage experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills to support and motivate staff.
  • Knowledge of menu planning, event coordination, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and understanding of financial reports (sales and labor costs).
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards, including alcohol service laws.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment; flexible schedule availability.
  • Strong communication skills for staff training and guest interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field (preferred); certifications like ServSafe or TIPS are a plus.
  • Wine or beverage knowledge (e.g., WSET) and tech-savviness are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an opening or closing manager on duty and ensure SOPs of opening/closing duties are being executed
  • Oversee, hire, and evaluate direct reports, including Servers, Bartenders, Host/Hostess, and Bussers.
  • Train direct reports on service standards
  • Supervise and assist FOH team members during mealtimes, ensuring proper full service, order-taking, and beverage service and always leading by example.
  • Assist F&B Manager with liquor, beer, and wine inventory and ordering.
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory of dining room items (china, glass, silver) and disposable operating supplies, such as to-go cups, lids, straws, bamboo plates, roll-ups, etc.
  • Be visible to all members and guests, respond to guest inquiries, requests, and issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, and resolve guest concerns
  • Responsible for scheduling and payroll for direct reports
  • Responsible for reports on labor % and Cost of Goods
  • Ensure the front-of-house team maintains proper sanitation procedures and that these procedures are consistent with local ordinances.
  • Ensure that public areas, such as entrances, halls, foyer, terrace, etc, as well as employee-only areas, such as the linen closet, banquet closet, dry storage areas, and receiving hallway remain clean and organized.
  • Report to, and carry out instructions of, the F&B Manager.
