About The Position

As the Assistant Executive Steward, you will support the Back of House Executive Team in leading the stewarding team to ensure exceptional kitchen sanitation, cleanliness, and efficient management of non-food equipment and supplies across all casino restaurants and banquet operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintaining high standards, driving team performance, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the Food & Beverage department.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in stewarding or a related hospitality role
Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices
Ability to train team members and support implementation of new processes or systems
Solid organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising stewarding staff, including dishwashers and cleaners
Support daily operations to ensure dishwashing, sanitation, and food preparation areas meet all health and safety standards
Help implement and maintain standard operating procedures and preventive maintenance programs
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chinaware, glassware, and kitchen equipment; assist with ordering and requisitions
Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, properly maintained, and stored correctly
Enforce compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards
Partner with chefs and management to ensure seamless kitchen operations and equipment availability
Support banquet and special event setup and breakdown as needed
Step in to lead shifts and operations in the absence of the Executive Steward
Perform other duties as assigned
