About The Position

This is an entry-level, in-office position located in Lexington, SC. The Assistant Estimator will support Estimators in all project phases, from bid invitation and cost estimation to project handoff. This role is designed for individuals with commercial construction industry experience (electrical experience is a plus) who are seeking an opportunity to develop into an Estimator role.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Organization and time management skills
• Contribute to a team environment and support Senior Estimators
• Basic Computer skills
• Use of basic office equipment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in Construction Sales, Estimating or in the field as a seasoned electrician in Commercial Construction
• Valid SC driver’s license with a clean driving record in order to operate company vehicles

Nice To Haves

• Electrical experience
• Post-secondary education preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with trade contractors and suppliers
• Bid solicitation with trade contractors and suppliers
• Estimating for project bids
• Following up on bid projects
• Purchase quoted materials for projects
• Build submittal packages
• Complete all front-end contract forms
• Create schedule of values
• Meet with Operation team to hand off projects
• Pricing of change orders
• Building relationships with Project Managers, Superintendents and other staff
