About The Position
Cherokee Town & Country Club in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a full-time Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys fixing things, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a supportive and fun team environment.
Requirements
- Experience with small engine repair (2-cycle and 4-cycle)
- Prior experience sharpening mower blades
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Responsibilities
- Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on mowers, tractors, and small engines
- Grinding reels and bed knives, sharpening rotary blades to keep mowing equipment in top shape
- Diagnosing and repairing 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines, both gasoline and diesel-powered
- Following proper procedures for recycling and disposal of fluids (oil, antifreeze, filters, etc.)
- Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized
- Reporting equipment needs and repair concerns to the Equipment Manager or Superintendents
