Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of GM Manufacturing systems, Tooling systems and Electrical Content within the assembly process.
  • Comfortable knowledge of the Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP).
  • Candidates should be Action oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong teams and work cross-functionally / collaboratively.

  • Key competencies skills include Command Skills, Decision quality, dealing with ambiguity, timely decision making, Intellectual Horsepower, Learning on the fly and Drive for results.
  • Domestic or international travel depending on program/position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Plant or Launch Assignment.
  • Electrical, Software Architecture, and Program Team Experience.
  • Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Product launch or project management experience.
  • Working vehicle systems knowledge and the ability to review product design proposals for manufacturing impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Electrical manufacturing integration from concept through to pre-production and plant builds.
  • Develop plant and program strategies for new products in conjunction with Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV, Other Manufacturing Centers and Manufacturing Planning.
  • Unify cross‑functional teams on a clear, shared direction to accurately capture overall Electrical impacts to manufacturing.
  • Bring the Electrical SDV and VaaT voice to program planning, making the proper escalations through the organization.
  • Collaborate with global team members across multiple time zones, requiring flexibility and strong communication skills.
  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.
