About The Position

Fugro’s Geotechnical service line delivers critical subsurface data and insights to support safe and efficient infrastructure design. Using advanced investigation techniques and integrated data solutions, Fugro helps clients understand ground conditions, reduce risk, and optimize projects across energy, marine, and civil sectors. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
  • Possess a High School diploma; Technical School or Associate Degree preferred.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License (Commercial preferred).
  • Have 2-5 years of drill floor experience.
  • Good mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Commercial preferred).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Heavy lifting.
  • Extensive travel is involved.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School or Associate Degree preferred.
  • Commercial Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Assists with coordinating and preparing equipment for drilling assignment.
  • Assists with drilling operations including operating the drill rig and with the assistance of the Driller’s Helper mix mud, handle drill pipe, casing and other equipment.
  • Assists with maintenance and cleaning of equipment and working area.
  • Assists with and keeps records of drilling footage, consumables and other items pertaining to drilling operations.
  • Engages in such other related activates and special projects as may be required or assigned.
  • Responsible for the quality of work performed along with personal safety as well as co-workers’ safety.
  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment, including completion and upload of all required documentation into the required maintenance system.
  • The supervisor of the shift and reports, while in the field, to the Driller II or operations personnel. At all other times the employee shall report to the Drilling Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Will experience as much as if not more than 50% of field time. Some projects require the employee to be in the field in excess of 42 days on one tour.
  • Should report to work as directed on time, work well with others, follow established rules and policies and complete work in a safe and timely manner.
  • Contact within group and other departments requiring tact to gain cooperation.
  • Other related duties as required.
