About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager (Assistant Doughnut Boss) supports day-to-day retail operations, team leadership, and financial performance of a high-volume doughnut shop. This role partners with the Store Manager to drive sales, deliver exceptional customer service, maintain product quality, and lead a team in a fast-paced food service environment. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for candidates with experience in retail management, restaurant management, or food & beverage operations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in retail, restaurant, or food service management (Assistant Manager or Shift Lead level preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Experience with high-volume operations and fast-paced environments
  • Working knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic reporting
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for customer service and team development

Responsibilities

  • Support overall store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and daily execution
  • Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards in a high-volume environment
  • Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members
  • Help manage employee scheduling, labor control, and shift coverage
  • Maintain consistent product quality, food safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Monitor and support sales performance, KPIs, and revenue goals
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and waste control
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
  • Partner with the Store Manager on local marketing efforts and in-store promotions
  • Lead by example—working alongside the team to ensure smooth, efficient operations
