About The Position

Four-Legged Fun Zone is seeking experienced assistant handlers to join our team. This role is for individuals who have a strong foundation in dog daycare, understand canine body language, group dynamics, and safe playgroup management. You will be trained to safely supervise and lead your own off-leash playgroup of 10–15 dogs. We offer a stable, long-term role with reliable hours and a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Completed at least 50 shifts in the past six months where you spent at least 4 continuous hours actively supervising or assisting with supervising an off-leash dog playgroup with 20 or more dogs.
• Held at least one paid animal-care position for 12 consecutive months or longer within the past 3 years.
• Live within 30 minutes of the facility and consistently arrive on time.
• Able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Confidently manage dogs up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead off-leash dog playgroups of 10-15 dogs.
• Actively manage dog playgroups, ensuring safety and positive interactions.
• Utilize knowledge of canine body language and group dynamics to manage play.
• Follow a structured introduction process for new dogs.
• Maintain a consistent schedule and arrive on time for shifts.
• Manage dogs up to 150 lbs.
• Step away to a dedicated space to reset during breaks.
