About The Position

The Assistant District Attorney (ADA) position involves reviewing incoming law enforcement reports to determine the viability of filing criminal charges, evaluating assigned cases for prosecutorial merit and possible plea negotiations, researching and writing legal motions, competently, expeditiously, and professionally handling all assigned court appearances, preparing and conducting jury trials, and continually developing, maintaining, and improving all skills necessary to perform daily prosecutorial duties. This is a full-time position located at the District Attorney’s Office, Cleveland County Courthouse.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association
  • Must have knowledge and experience with courtroom trial and procedures related to criminal law
  • Minimum 2 years of prosecution experience required
