This position involves preparing for and prosecuting assigned cases through to trial. Responsibilities include new case intake and screening, determining the type of indictment, gathering evidence, conferring with witnesses and law enforcement officials, and preparing subpoenas. The role also requires requesting assistance from investigators, preparing for and attending various court proceedings such as arraignments, grand juries, pre-trial hearings, and revocation hearings. Additionally, the position involves making plea bargain offers to defendants and preparing all necessary paperwork for court proceedings. This role is designed for periodic rotation through all office divisions, including trial court, intake, appellate, and juvenile.
