About The Position

Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained. Texas Tech Health El Paso (TTEP) is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or those currently on student or postgraduate visas. Additionally, this position is not eligible for remote or hybrid opportunities. All work is required to be performed onsite at TTEP.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with program development/ student support initiatives related to student services or engagement.
  • Knowledge of best practices in student engagement and satisfaction.
  • Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field plus three years of related administrative and technical experience OR Combination of education and/or years of experience in the area of specialization or closely related field to equal a minimum of 7 years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to keep medical students informed about school policies, events, resources, and support services.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and school administration, addressing student concerns, feedback, and suggestions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Organize and facilitate focus groups, surveys, and feedback sessions to gather insights on student experiences and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and promote student-centered initiatives and programs that enhance the well-being, mental health, and academic success.
  • Monitor and analyze student satisfaction metrics in collaboration with the Associate Director of Assessment and Evaluation and the Director of the Office of Medical Education, including internal surveys and feedback, to track progress and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, connecting them with appropriate resources and services as needed.
  • Coordinate and participate in student orientation, workshops, and on-boarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
  • Maintain a database of student interactions and track trends to inform policy and program development.
  • Advocate for student needs by presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in student engagement and higher education trends.
  • Assist in the development and communication of policies and procedures related to student experience.
  • Documentation of student interactions, feedback, and resolutions.
  • Remain current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
