Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, a leading human services provider founded in 1894, offers a wide range of integrated services including social, educational, health, housing, mental health, nutritional, and fitness programs to approximately 16,000 individuals annually on Manhattan's East Side. The organization serves a diverse client base, including older adults, unhoused individuals, children and families, and persons with disabilities. The Women's Mental Health Shelter, located in the Park Avenue Armory, is a 24-hour program dedicated to assisting 80 homeless women aged 45 and over with histories of mental illness. The shelter provides a comprehensive continuum of care, including social work, medical, nursing, psychiatric care, peer support, housing placement, benefits assistance, arts and recreation, and nutrition programs, delivered by a multi-disciplinary team. The Assistant Director will provide leadership and supervision to program staff, manage daily shelter operations, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and client-centered services. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with all agency contractual obligations and regulatory requirements, ensuring the delivery of excellent services and support to clients. Reporting to the Senior Program Director, the Assistant Director will act as the lead in their absence and will collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, government agencies, and community partners to achieve operational excellence and positive client outcomes.
