About The Position

The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director and leadership team to ensure the center operates smoothly while maintaining high standards of care, safety, and education. This role requires strong organization, leadership skills, and a passion for early childhood education.

Requirements

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
  • Previous experience working in a childcare center
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations
  • Ability to support staff, families, and daily operations
  • Must pass background screening and meet all state childcare requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of the center
  • Support and supervise teaching staff
  • Maintain compliance with state licensing standards
  • Help with enrollment, tours, and parent communication
  • Assist with scheduling and staff coverage
  • Ensure classrooms maintain a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Support implementation of curriculum and school programs
