About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible, alongside the School Director, for the safe and effective operation of the school and for advancing Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The role also supports the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. The Assistant Director helps ensure compliance with company and state licensing standards, fosters a caring and safe environment for children and parents, promotes the company’s image, recruits and retains quality staff, and contributes to the school’s profitability.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous leadership experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements and center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Foster an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
• Support children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Promote the company’s positive image and help make it a provider of choice in the communities it serves.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Help achieve company profitability.
• Assume sole responsibility for the school in the School Director’s absence.
