About The Position

Small Hands Big Dreams is seeking a dedicated, organized, and relationship-focused Assistant Director to help lead our Bainbridge center. As Assistant Director, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for children, families, and teachers while helping to ensure our center operates smoothly each day. Requirements

  • Experience working in an early childhood education setting.
  • Must have high school diploma
  • Must hold a CPL-3
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the center alongside the Center Director.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Welcome prospective families by providing engaging center tours.
  • Assist with enrollment, record keeping, and maintaining organized licensing and child files.
  • Review, complete and manage required documentation and files
  • Answer phones and provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective families.
  • Utilize multiple computer software systems for scheduling, communication, and record management.
  • Assist with creating and adjusting daily staffing schedules to ensure proper classroom coverage.
  • Support, coach, and encourage teachers while maintaining a positive team culture.
  • Serve as the Director's designee and lead the center when the Center Director is away.
  • Monitor curriculum implementation and help ensure high-quality learning experiences for children.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
  • Step into classrooms when needed to support teachers and maintain continuity of care.
