About The Position

Student Affairs at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for an Assistant Director, Wellness Services! This role collaborates with the Director to implement strategic initiatives and provides oversight for the daily operations of Wellness Services. Supervises, manages, and evaluates professional staff members. Oversees the alcohol and drug prevention and intervention initiatives. Cover letter with resume submission is required. Requirements

  • Master's degree Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in providing college student health services or counseling services.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a health, education, or high-education setting is desired.
  • Knowledge about college student behaviors, office management and other administrative processes are also desired.
  • Experience working with addiction and/or counseling is desired.
  • Experience in Higher Education is Desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operations of Wellness Services Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) education, Bystander Intervention, Student Wellness programming and Outreach, ensuring these services function effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensures all policies and procedures are maintained and followed, and ensure Wellness Services meet the needs of Auburn University’s student body as they related to health and wellness.
  • Supervises, manages, and evaluates professional staff members and multiple graduate students.
  • Provides administrative supervision and leadership to the alcohol and drug intervention efforts, including meeting with individual students as appropriate.
  • Identifies and solves operational challenges as they arise.
  • Analyzes various data sets in order to implement new programming and make recommendations to enhance current offerings.
  • Leads the Auburn Recovery Community (ARC) programming.
  • Develops and coordinates effective educational outreach, marketing, and training strategies and materials.
  • Collaborates with other campus partners to implement and develop prevention and education programming.
