About The Position

Responsible for the day-to-day management and development of all construction and/or renovations of major land, attraction, resorts, transportation, walkways, and waterways, back of house support buildings, parking structures and any new facilities (the “Project”). This will include planning, budgeting, scheduling, estimating, design, construction, fabrication, delivery, and commissioning required to open the Project within the assigned budget, quality, schedule, creative and guest experience targets.

Requirements

  • 9+ years’ experience required in facility maintenance field with specific training and experience with facility maintenance and inspection; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • State General or Certified or Registered Contractor preferred.
  • License in Architecture or Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing design decisions and construction document production.
  • Avoiding contract claims and disputes.
  • Minimizing change orders during construction phases.
  • Effectively managing changes in the Project.
  • Eliminating interface disruptions between project participants and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining, and where possible improving the Project schedule and budget.
  • Insuring quality design and construction work.
  • Emphasizing “hands-on” management of field operations.
  • Establishing and maintaining a competent and experienced staff.
  • Implementing efficient and timely document control.
  • Reviewing all scope of work as well as design of all attractions, facilities, resorts and themed environments for reliability and safety.
  • Daily monitoring of project budget within the job scope, and schedule within the targeted objectives set forth during project approval for new attractions, facilities, resorts and themed environments, as well as refurbishments and enhancements.
  • Reviewing development criteria to make sure projects are delivered correctly and completely.
  • Qualification, procurement, selection, contracting and performance of all Architectural, Engineering and Technical Designers hired to complete the facility design phase of the Project.
  • Directing the successful delivery of projects while maintaining architectural intent within the established budget and schedule, while meeting the initial objectives set forth during the concept development.
  • Hiring and selection of the necessary project team required to implement the project.
  • Performance of each of the project team individuals as it relates to the successful opening of new attractions.
  • Development and growth of project team.
  • Management, tracking and reporting of all the necessary project components inclusive of budget, schedule and progress of the project to upper management.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation necessary to insure a successful project completion within the targeted budget and schedule.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
