The Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention is seeking an Assistant Director of Tobacco Programs to support the Bureau’s tobacco control strategy. The ideal candidate will support the Director in the development and execution of the program's work, including community engagement strategy, research and program evaluation, and unit administration. The program has funding for the candidate to be in the position for at least 12 months. The Tobacco Policy and Programs unit leads NYC’s tobacco control efforts to address current inequities, counter industry innovation, prevent youth use, and limit harms via policy, mass media and communications, community outreach and engagement, treatment, and evaluation.
