The Muhlenberg Residence serves extremely vulnerable individuals, including people with histories of homelessness and/or mental illness. The Assistant Director of the Muhlenberg Residence provides leadership, supervision and training to the onsite social service staff. The Assistant Director also serves as the liaison between participants and the Assistant Executive Director. The Assistant Director supports the Assistant Executive Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the facility and the program at the Muhlenberg Residence. The Assistant Director works alongside the Assistant Executive Director to create and execute work plans/goals to meet the ever-changing needs of the participants and the facility at Muhlenberg. This is a 24-hour program. The Assistant Director is classified as an essential worker, and as such accepts responsibility for the completion of their critical services to participants, on site, even during times of emergency. These include, but are not limited to, emergencies caused by weather, nationwide pandemics, civil unrest, and domestic threat.
