About The Position

The Assistant Director of Technology Innovation & Data is responsible for supporting the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of all computer systems, networks, and data/voice communication infrastructure across the property, residential, and club operations. This role ensures seamless daily technology operations, assists with system upgrades and troubleshooting, and supports users in maintaining the highest levels of functionality and service. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

Requirements

  • College degree preferably relating to Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years experience in hotel IT (in a similar capacity of position), experience in project management, hospitality applications, PMS, HSIA, POS preferred.
  • Working knowledge of assessment methodologies and learning needs identification.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
  • Proven leadership skills in a hotel environment.
  • The highest level of integrity and transparency
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a team player with high energy levels to work with cross-functional teams, negotiate for resources, and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, projects, effective presentations and facilitate meetings.
  • Desirable Microsoft or Cisco Certifications, strong network-building and troubleshooting skills, including Microsoft Operating Systems, MAC Operating Systems, and applications.
  • Strong business, resources, and project planning experience.
  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
  • US work authorization is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications and interfaces (i.e. Opera, Delphi, Back Office, Spa, HR systems, etc) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Director in providing a high level of operational availability and stability for property-based technology, including Network & Server infrastructure management, adequate backup processes to fight the virus threat, and providing desktop support services for ensuring the uptime of the IT facility of the resort.
  • To continuously identify & work for the improvement in the IT & technology setup of the hotel & to ensure to maintain technology ‘best practices’ in respect to property IT systems.
  • To assist in the planning & design of the server infrastructure, including capacity planning, performance monitoring, operating system upgrades and/or patches, trouble-shooting & restoration of services, system backup & recovery procedures, regular backup and integrity checks, and Virus protection management.
  • To provide Systems Administration, to include to create and maintain user/group accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting access problems.
  • Develop and maintain a core set of proactive maintenance processes that are performed on property systems.
  • Provide 7 x 24 support for mission-critical systems.
  • Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office Property Management System, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX and Food & Beverage Point of Sales computer systems are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining system security procedures consistent with control requirements and corporate policy.
  • Maintain accurate records of system files; software and hardware issues and service requirements.
  • Responsible for network support & security of Hotel network, Active Directory maintenance, Server Infrastructure maintenance, Network Infrastructure maintenance – wired & wireless, Network protection & failover tools implementation (Firewall, web security, multi-homing devices, etc).
  • Assist with the test and monitor backup plan for all systems to ensure protection from loss of data and ensure backups are carried out in accordance with corporate and local policies.
  • Provide direct guest and resident support and quality support to function rooms and conference services.
  • Assist the Director in preparing IT operating budgets, IT capital budgets, and be able to discuss and present a business case for all IT expenses.
  • Maintain and promote Four Seasons core technology standards as outlined in the Four Seasons IT Core Standards.
  • Provide direct guest support and quality support to function rooms and conference services, as well as private residences.
